PANDORA’S BOX BRIMSTONE VS #309 Written by Phil Gee TEASER FADE UP: EXT. HARLEM STREET - NIGHT A steady THUMP THUMP pounds the pavement, coming from the sound system of a CUSTOMIZED LINCOLN. The OWNER leans proudly against his baby, as several STREET KIDS hover at his side. We MOVE down the street and see PROSTITUTES working at their living. Still MOVING, we finally HOLD on a YOUNG BOY as he counts his drug money. He’s done quite well tonight. All the white customers that venture uptown feel safe with him because he’s got such an innocent face. A WHITE WOMAN comes into frame. She doesn’t seem to belong here, but isn’t afraid. As she gets closer, we see it is LIZZY DARKE. Young Boy approaches her, ready to deal. YOUNG BOY Hey, mama, what ya need tonight? LIZZY Some peace and quiet, junior. Don’t you ever get tired of that jack hammer stuff? She nods in the direction of the Lincoln. YOUNG BOY That’s what it’s all about, mama. Heavy music and heavy fun… Young Boy reaches into his pocket, pulls out something bundled in ALUMINUM FOIL. YOUNG BOY (CONT) And this is as heavy as it gets… Lizzy splits a wry grin. LIZZY Try somebody else, pal. Somebody a little more desperate then me. She tries to pass him, but Young Boy cuts her off. YOUNG BOY So if you didn’t come here for one thing I got to offer, maybe it was for something else… Lizzy regards him for a beat. LIZZY Put it back in your pants, kid. She pushes past him. He isn’t going to take no for an answer. He GRABS HER ARM violently. YOUNG BOY (tough) I’ll show you where I’m gonna put it, bitch… A beat. Then… WHAM!! WHAM!! WHAM!! Lizzy has put Young Boy down for the count. He never saw it coming. LIZZY Nobody calls me a bitch… Lizzy smacks her hands together, and heads towards one of the apartment buildings. The CROWD PARTS as she makes her way into… INT. APARTMENT BUILDING - HALLWAY - NIGHT She walks down the hallway until she comes to #122. This is it. Hesitating, Lizzy finally KNOCKS on the door. Its sound echoes around the deserted hall. No answer. She KNOCKS again, more forceful this time. LIZZY I know you’re in there. I’ve got to speak to you. No response again. She BANGS it this time. LIZZY I’m… Suddenly, the door opens. A SHADOWY FIGURE stands in the doorway. SHADOWY FIGURE I know who you are, and why you’re here. The Shadowy Figure moves back into the apartment. We can now see that it is PANDORA. PANDORA Don’t stand there. Come inside. What we have to do is not for others to see. A little shaken, Lizzy walks into the apartment and closes the door. INT. PANDORA’S APARTMENT - NIGHT The place is dimly lit with dozens of CANDLES. Thick with INCENSE. Lizzy fans at the smoke, coughs. LIZZY Why the smoke and mirrors? Pandora sits at a table, motions for Lizzy to join her. PANDORA You have your ways -- I have mine. Lizzy sits down opposite Pandora. PANDORA (CONT) And together we will accomplish the desired goal. Brute force is not always the solution to a problem. LIZZY (shrugs) Like you say, you have your ways, I have mine. On top of the table, amid several more candles and incense sticks, is a BATTERED MAHOGANY BOX. It’s topped with an elaborate BRASS HANDLE AND LOCK. Pandora reaches for it, caresses it delicately with her left hand. LIZZY Is that…? PANDORA Yes. All is contained within. Pandora takes a KEY from a CHAIN that hangs around her neck. She puts it into the lock. We HEAR the CLICK as ancient tumblers are put into motion. Removing the key, Pandora takes a hard look at Lizzy. PANDORA Once we begin, we cannot turn back. LIZZY Is there a choice? PANDORA (a beat) Very well. Slowly, Pandora OPENS THE LID. From around the edges of the lid, FLASHES OF LIGHT burst out rapidly. The air CRACKLES WITH BLUE ELECTRICITY, similar to a life force as it escapes a Damned Soul. As the electricity slithers around Lizzy, she quickly reaches a hand to cover her nose. The odor is intense. LIZZY What’s that smell? It’s like -- rotting flesh… PANDORA When one of us is returned, the essence dissolves here as well. It remains beside our brothers and sisters until once more the box is opened. After all, this is a part of their soul. That was the deal we all made, wasn’t it? To be bound to Ash by our souls. Lizzy raises her brow. This is a bit strong, even for her. Reaching into the box, Pandora pulls out a handful of BONES. Small, broken pieces of various shapes. She spreads them on the table in equal intervals. Closing her eyes, Pandora slowly holds her left hand over each one, trying to get the right vibe. Her face clouds. She MUMBLES something as she barely touches each piece. It seems like she is trying to identify them. The actions Lizzy is watching makes her a bit nervous. LIZZY What are you doing? PANDORA (concentrating) Each piece represents one of us. To locate a specific soul, I need only find their place here, amid the bones. Finally, she stops over a particular bone fragment. Her eyes open sharply. Just as fast, she snatches up the piece from the table, holds it out for Lizzy to see. PANDORA This is the one you must find. LIZZY What do you mean, I must find? PANDORA Ash requires your assistance. That is why you were summoned here. Again, Pandora closes her eyes. PANDORA (CONT) She is in trouble. Slowly growing weaker. The pregnancy is effecting her in ways she was not expecting. (opens her eyes) You are to bring back one of Ash’s most devoted companions. To serve as a protector. And midwife when the time comes to deliver the child. Pandora puts the bone right up to Lizzy’s face. Timidly, Lizzy takes the bone, studies it carefully. PANDORA She is far from here. You must travel a great distance to bring her back. LIZZY Where is she? PANDORA Where Ash left her. In Miami. Out of the way until she was needed. You must leave at once. Lizzy sits, motionless. PANDORA Didn’t you hear what I said? LIZZY Where do I find her? What’s her name? Pandora takes the bone from Lizzy’s hand. Clamps it between her fingers. Getting all the info she can from what’s inside it. PANDORA She’s at the Hotel Senator. Under the name of Lillian Castillo. She goes by Lulu. Lizzy gets up. Pandora reaches across the table, holds onto Lizzy’s arm. PANDORA (CONT) Approach her with caution. She has spirits about her. LIZZY What do you mean, spirits? Aren’t there just two side to this? PANDORA So little of the other worlds do you know. (a beat) Heed my warning. There are powers beyond what you think at play here. Lizzy takes her arm from Pandora’s grip, rubs it. LIZZY I’ll try to remember that. Lizzy is gone. Pandora studies the remaining fragments on the table. PANDORA Is this the beginning -- (beat) -- or the end? FADE ACT ONE INT. NORTH’S HANGOUT - DAY It is the following morning. Lizzy is pacing back and forth across the floor, visibly jittery. Seated on a couch is KINETA XIAO. She is observing Lizzy’s frantic movements, wondering what to make of it. From a side room comes TYRONE DONALDS. He’s just punching a CELL PHONE off as he enters. TYRONE Okay, you’re all set. Flight #422 to Miami. Leaves at 3:30. LIZZY (relieved) Thanks. From under the couch, Xiao PULLS OUT A SMALL SUITCASE. Opening it, she rummages around, takes out a WAD OF CASH. XIAO North’ll never know… She hands the cash to Lizzy. LIZZY Yeah, but just in case, don’t let a word slip about where I’m going. TYRONE I still don’t get it. You say this Pandora got a message from Ash? That she needed you to bring back -- one of US to protect her? LIZZY That’s what it sounded like. She puts the money in her pocket. LIZZY (CONT) You wanna take the chance on something happening to her? Tyrone shakes his head NO. XIAO So you finally got to meet the famous Pandora. Was she shorter then you expected? You know I ran into Mel Gibson once on Broadway… LIZZY (cutting her off) HEY! This is no joke. Ash goes, we ALL go. Xiao smothers her smile. XIAO Where does she live? Lizzy is hesitant to tell her. TYRONE In case something goes wrong, we might need to find her. Lizzy thinks on this. LIZZY 125th Street. Third firetrap on the right. Apartment #122. The three look at one another. LIZZY Okay. I’m off. XIAO Good luck. TYRONE Yeah. Me too. LIZZY Thanks. I’ll call you when I get to Miami. SMASH CUT: INT. DINER - DAY A greasy spoon hole in the wall on the west side. A couple of REGULAR CUSTOMERS congregate in their usual booths, making their coffee last past it’s prime. In a secluded booth is STONE. He’s stirring sugar into his otherwise black cup of Joe. A LOT of sugar, in fact. What the hell, he doesn’t have to worry about what the dentist will say. Tasting it, he smiles. STONE Some days it pays to be dead. He takes another drag. Delicious. WHITE FLASH As he returns the cup to the table top, he discovers he’s got company. It’s THE DEVIL DEVIL Zeke, you never learn, do you? STONE You know, I was a “C” student in high school. Bordering on “D” if you wanna get down to the nitty gritty. Drove my teachers crazy every chance I got. DEVIL Tell me about it. Stone tries to take another sip. The Devil grips his arm, halting the movement. DEVIL I said, don’t you ever learn? STONE What did I do? Miss your birthday? The Devil has a very serious look on his face. He’s not in a joking mood. Stone picks up on his demeanor. STONE No…this is something else, isn’t it? DEVIL Last night, Ash took a very desperate gamble. STONE What makes you think so? DEVIL She sent a signal to one of your playmates. Faint. She tried to mask it, but I felt it. She’s in trouble. I can tell. STONE Like a mother knowing when her child is in danger a thousand miles away. That’s really touching. The Devil is NOT amused by Stone’s remark. STONE What kind of trouble are you talking about? The Devil remains silent. STONE You don’t know, huh? I guess that makes us equal, then. DEVIL No, Mr. Stone, we are in no way equals. You work for me. It’s your job to INFORM me of things such as these, find out what they mean. Not sit around with the dregs of society, waiting for me to kick start you in the ass! A CUSTOMER overhears The Devil’s remark, grunts in disagreement. STONE See, you’ve upset him. I bet now he doesn’t leave a tip. The Devil leans over the table, gets right up next to Stone’s face. DEVIL Let me give YOU a tip, Ezekiel. You better find out what that was all about last night. Because as the numbers dwindle down, your job is gonna get harder, not easier. Ash is going to get very desperate and ambitious in her actions. She’s capable of more then you realize. (beat) MUCH more. The Devil rises, stands at the end of the table. DEVIL (CONT) If you think you’re halfway home, think again. The real work’s only just begun. With that, The Devil departs. Regarding their brief conversation, Stone drains the last of his coffee. EXT. MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - ESTABLISHING - NIGHT We SEE the hustle and bustle as PASSENGERS scramble to make their connections on time. EXT. CURBSIDE PICKUP - NIGHT Standing amid the throng is Lizzy Darke. She’s got no bags; just the clothes on her back. She’s trying her best to hail a taxi. At last, she has success. A YELLOW CAB pulls to the curb. She slides into the rear seat, closes the door. The DRIVER -- a friendly Haitian man -- turns to her. DRIVER No luggage, ma’am? LIZZY Take me to the Hotel Senator. DRIVER The Senator. Yes ma’am. Driver puts the cab into gear, and off they go. EXT. HOTEL SENATOR - NIGHT The Yellow Cab pulls up to the Senator. Lizzy departs the taxi, flips a few bills to the Driver. She looks up at the hotel, takes it’s appearance in full. LIZZY Not bad. Not great, but not bad. INT. HOTEL SENATOR LOBBY - NIGHT Lizzy meanders slowly across the polished marble floor. The art deco layout is exquisite, tasteful. A far cry from the dirty streets of Harlem. She walks to the… FRONT DESK A UNIFORMED CLERK greets her cheerfully. CLERK Yes, ma’am. How may I help you? LIZZY I’m looking for a friend of mine. I was told she’s staying here. CLERK What’s the name? LIZZY Lillian Castillo. The Clerk perks up at her name. CLERK Lulu? LIZZY Yeah, good ol’ Lulu. CLERK (suspicious) You sure you know her? LIZZY (equally guarded) Why? CLERK Well, anybody that’s a friend of Lulu’s would know she’s never home at this time of night. Lizzy looks up at the CLOCK behind Clerk’s head. It reads 10:45 PM. CLERK (CONT) You’ll NEVER find her here before 1:00 AM. She’s one party girl like no other I’ve seen in all my years down here. LIZZY On a Tuesday night? CLERK On ANY night. LIZZY We grew up in New York. It’s been a long time since we saw each other. I just happened to be in town on business -- thought I’d surprise her. The explanation seems to satisfy Clerk. CLERK Try Ocean Drive. One block over. There’s a good chance you’ll find her in a club along the strip. Lizzy turns, starts to exit. Clerk calls to her. CLERK Just listen for the loudest party. Lulu won’t be far away. LIZZY (over her shoulder) Thanks… EXT. HOTEL SENATOR - NIGHT Lizzy walks out into the warm night air. Despite her mission, she realizes how beautiful Miami is, and pauses to drink it all in. A beat later, she SEES the same Yellow Cab that brought her there parked down the street. She walks over to it, leans on the front glass. LIZZY Hey… She startles the Driver. He has his RADIO on, playing CREOLE music. He was really into the tune. LIZZY Sorry…what’s your name? DRIVER Richmond, ma’am. LIZZY Well, Richmond, I need a guide. You up to showing me some hot spots? DRIVER/RICHMOND (smiling) Oh, you came to the right place, ma’am. I know Miami like my old hometown in Haiti. LIZZY Let me guess -- Port Au Prince, right? RICHMOND How did you know? LIZZY I’ve never met anybody from Haiti who wasn’t from Port Au Prince. You’d think it was the only city in the whole country. She gets into the back seat, slams the door shut. RICHMOND The only place worth SAYING you’re from. Richmond starts the engine. RICHMOND Where to, ma’am? LIZZY The biggest, loudest party on Ocean Drive. RICHMOND I know the place. He turns on the meter. RICHMOND (CONT) They’re just getting warmed up this time of night. The Yellow Cab pulls away from the curb, and heads towards Ocean Drive. INT. STONE’S APARTMENT - KITCHEN - NIGHT Shuffling through the near empty shelves of his fridge, Stone is having no luck rummaging up something to eat. STONE I need to put in for a cost of living raise. $36.00 and change doesn’t put food on the table like it used to. Finally settling on a PACK OF VANILLA WAFERS, Stone opens the near empty box and heads towards the… LIVING ROOM As he walks towards the couch, he SUDDENLY STOPS! Drops the box of cookies to the floor. Grabs his head on either side. Not in pain -- more like confusion. WHITE FLASH Stone is getting a vision. A glimpse of ASH. WHITE FLASH Lizzy Darke, walking the streets of Harlem in the middle of the night. WHITE FLASH Another picture of Ash. She’s holding her midsection, which has gained considerable size due to her pregnancy. WHITE FLASH Lizzy at an apartment door. Stone can easily make out the number #122. WHITE FLASH A woman (Pandora) laying bones out on the table. Picking up a fragment that has some importance. Handing the bone to Lizzy. WHITE FLASH Lizzy talking to Kineta Xiao and Tyrone Donalds. Making a quick exit from that location. The vision begins to haze. WHITE FLASH Lizzy getting on an airplane. The image is gone. WHITE FLASH We’re back in Stone’s place. He’s still holding his head. Slowly, he lets his hands drop. He walks cautiously to the couch, sits down. We can determine along with Stone that this WAS NOT Damned Soul Vision, as he experienced with Mrs. Booth. It was something else entirely. A vision that was FORCED upon him by powers beyond his ability. Crystal clear. Precise. Not distorted as Damned Soul Vision has been previously portrayed. STONE (softly) Dammit… (a beat) How many #122’s can there be in Harlem? INT. NORTH’S HANGOUT - NIGHT The one thing Lizzy was hoping didn’t happen -- happened. NORTH RATARE has stormed in unexpectedly, and is pretty pissed that Lizzy is nowhere to be found. NORTH I told you to keep your asses HERE until things cooled down! (to Xiao) Now you tell me you don’t know where Lizzy went! What the hell is the matter with you, shit for brains?! XIAO (yelling back) I’m not her keeper! She decides to go, what am I supposed to do? Point my finger at her and say “Bad girl! Shame on you for breaking the rules! No MTV tonight!”? North gets right up to Xiao’s face. They touch noses. NORTH You find her. Bring her back here. Convince her it was a mistake to not follow my orders. XIAO I’m not your muscle, North. Especially after you let that cop from Hell go free. WOOSH!! North has quickly grabbed Xiao by the throat. His hand clutches her neck tightly. NORTH Then maybe I need to convince YOU how much of a mistake it would be to disobey me… Xiao STRAINS to release herself from North’s vice-like grip. Finally, she relents. XIAO (choked) Okay! North still keeps a hold of her neck, even though she has agreed. XIAO (still choked) I said okay! Finally, North relaxes his hand. Xiao slumps to the floor. She puts a hand to her neck, rubs it gently. North turns to Tyrone. NORTH I hope you were taking notes. EXT. OCEAN DRIVE - NIGHT Richmond is waiting patiently in his cab at the curb. He’s got his Creole music going again, tapping the steering wheel to the rhythm. A beat later, Lizzy appears. Her expression says it all. RICHMOND No luck, ma’am? LIZZY Yeah, all of it bad. RICHMOND We head to another club now? She thinks for a minute. LIZZY No, this is the sixth place we’ve hit. I hate to tell you this, but I don’t even know what she looks like. This revelation amuses Richmond. RICHMOND You got a friend and you don’t know what she looks like? LIZZY It’s a long story, but the bottom line is I gotta find her. (a beat) Listen, thanks for the help, but I’m just wasting your time and mine. Think I’ll try hoofing it for now. Maybe my luck will change. RICHMOND Okay, ma’am. He pulls out a BUSINESS CARD, hands it to her. RICHMOND (CONT) You need me again, you call me. LIZZY (dully) Yeah, thanks. With that, Richmond is gone. Lizzy walks over to a… SIDEWALK CAFÉ She plops down into a wicker chair. Clearly, she’s frustrated. LIZZY Where are you, you damn needle? INT. PANDORA’S APARTMENT - NIGHT Sitting once more at her table is Pandora. She’s got the mahogany box open, and is rummaging around it’s contents. She grips a bone, closes her eyes. PANDORA (whisper) Lizzy Darke… Fumbling with her free hand, she digs some more. Then, another fragment calls to her. Pandora clenches it tightly, pulls it from the battered box. PANDORA (whisper) Lillian Castillo…Lulu. Her hands are spread as far apart as possible, each fist gripping a bone representing Lizzy and Lulu. Slowly, she begins to draw her hands together. EXT. SIDEWALK CAFÉ - NIGHT Without a warning, Lizzy sits up straight in her chair. Puts a hand to her breast. Something is going on within, but she can’t figure it out. She starts to look around at the CROWD passing by. INT. PANDORA’S APARTMENT - NIGHT Pandora’s hands are getting closer to one another. EXT. SIDEWALK CAFÉ - NIGHT More urgent now, Lizzy stands up, stretches her neck out. She’s got a feeling that Lulu is near. If only she knew what she looked like! INT. PANDORA’S APARTMENT - NIGHT Her hands are just a foot apart now. Face contorted, she’s giving it all she’s got. EXT. SIDEWALK CAFÉ - NIGHT Lizzy starts to walk the street now, sure that she’s headed in the right direction. INT. PANDORA’S APARTMENT - NIGHT Inches to go now. Her hands shake. Almost there. EXT. ALONG OCEAN DRIVE - NIGHT Lizzy is practically running at this point. INT. PANDORA’S APARTMENT - NIGHT AT LAST! Her two hands meet! EXT. ALONG OCEAN DRIVE - NIGHT Lizzy stops dead in her tracks! Opposite her on the sidewalk, a woman with the same look of uncertainty stares solidly into her eyes. WOMAN (timidly) Lizzy Darke…? LIZZY (the same) Lillian Castillo? The Woman nods YES. WOMAN/LILLIAN Call me Lulu. FADE ACT TWO EXT. HARLEM STREET - VARIOUS - NIGHT Stone has been pounding the pavement all night, searching for the elusive apartment #122. We see his efforts via the following MONTAGE: A) Stone searching first floor apartment buildings. Discovering either they have no #122 or the design of the numbers is the wrong shape. B) Asking people he meets if they know of a woman in the neighborhood like he describes from his vision. Not surprisingly, no one has ever heard of her. C) Going into the local stores, trying to find out if she frequents them. Goose eggs. D) Finally, in desperation, he huddles in a back alley and tries to summon up his Damned Soul Vision. No dice. For lack of a better plan, Stone goes back to his first track; randomly going into buildings and seeing if he can luck out. INT. APARTMENT BUILDING - HALLWAY - NIGHT Although Stone doesn’t know it, he has found the right place. He is in fact headed towards Pandora’s apartment. As soon as he sees the design of the door numbers is the same, he makes a beeline for #122. AT PANDORA’S DOOR stands Kineta Xiao. She’s pounding on it, trying to get Pandora to open up. XIAO I’m getting’ tired of this game, lady! I know you’re in there. Either you open up or I bust it down! Stone comes upon the scene, drawing Xiao’s attention away from her thumping. STONE Hey! The two exchange EYE CONTACT. There is a brief moment of recognition. They stand for a beat without moving an inch. Then, Xiao breaks out into a full sprint, headed in Stone’s direction! BOOM!! Xiao knocks Stone on his ass before Stone has a chance to draw his gun! WOOSH!! Xiao is out of the hallway and has made it to the street. Mad at himself, Stone scrambles to his feet and takes off after Xiao. EXT. HARLEM STREET - NIGHT Xiao has a good lead. She’s lean and agile -- built to run a lot faster the Stone. Stone barrels out of the apartment building, a full head of steam propelling him in Xiao’s direction. The PEOPLE ON THE STREET stand back as the two pass by. It’s not often that a Caucasian chases an Asian down the block in Harlem. At least a Caucasian that isn’t wearing blue. Xiao keeps her pace up. But Stone slowly bridges the gap between them. As he gets closer, he takes out his weapon, tries to draw a bead on her. BLAM!! BLAM!! BLAM!! Stone fires off three shots in succession. Each of them JUST MISS HER! She takes a look over her shoulder to see how close he is. XIAO’S POV Stone is just a few steps behind. She knows if he fires again, he’ll probably hit his target. To Stone’s surprise, Xiao STOPS DEAD IN HER TRACKS! She executes a fantastic MID AIR BACK FLIP and lands RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM! His gun is still in pointed in her direction. Xiao does a WHEEL KICK and the weapon goes flying from Stone’s grip! Grabbing him by the collar, she HEAD BUTTS HIM! WHAM!! Stone goes down in a daze, staggering around on hands and feet. XIAO The cop from Hell, huh? Why North didn’t finished you off I’ll never know. STONE (still on a mission) What are you doing here? Xiao laughs, kneels down close to Stone’s face. XIAO You gotta be kidding me, right? STONE (more strength) WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! XIAO Selling Girl Scout cookies… WHAM!! Stone returns the favor and HEAD BUTTS XIAO! She falls, caught off guard by Stone’s sudden move. Stone gets to his feet, starts to search for his weapon. Xiao sits up, holds her head with her right hand. XIAO You got me, Mr. Hell Cop. Good for you. Maybe you aren’t as weak as I thought. Too bad for you that I don’t like your type. She gets to her feet, walks in his direction. STONE Oh yeah? What’s your type, then? XIAO Bad boys! Xioa LEAPS UP and without warning is on top of Stone. She’s pummeling him with all she’s got! Fists, feet, knees…she’s clearly an experienced fighter. Stone does his best to defend himself, but is easily out classed. The one or two punches that manage to land have little effect on her. Reaching out for anything he can grab, Stone’s fingers find a RUSTY SCREW DRIVER. He stretches for it, but it remains outside of his grasp. It continues to evade him, just rolling around his fingertips. POW!! POW!! POW!! Xiao has not let up one bit. She keeps her onslaught coming. Finally, the screw driver tumbles in Stone’s direction! HE’S GOT IT! Gripping it solidly, he PLUNGES IT INTO XIAO’S LEFT EYE! XIAO ARRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BLUE ELECTRICITY seeps from the damaged socket. She PULLS OUT the screw driver, tosses it to the ground. Covering her bad eye, Xiao quickly leaps off of Stone and starts to beat feet in the opposite direction. Stone SCOOPS UP the screw driver, scrambles to his feet. He’s off after Xiao before we know it. It doesn’t take him long to each Xiao. In a flash, he’s got his left arm around her from behind, gripping her neck in an unbreakable lock. Stone PLUNGES the shaft down hard into her right eye. She screams in agony. Both eyes now pouring out her LIFE FORCE in double time. A pyrotechnical display that makes the few BYSTANDERS run for cover. Throwing Xiao in front of him, Stone falls back on his rear; the impact of her escaping life force knocking him for a loop. Then, all that was Xiao is gone. A second later, her TATTOO BURNS OFF HIS ARM. Stone WINCES in pain. And it’s over. Exhaling, Stone gets up, goes after his weapon. After he holsters it, he heads back to his original destination. Apartment #122. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. ALONG OCEAN DRIVE - NIGHT A stark contrast to our previous scene. Lizzy and Lulu are walking slowly along the strip, trying their best to figure out why they have been brought together. Lulu has a very ethnic, almost savage beauty about her. Her jet black hair is down her back, tightly curled -- kinky. The clothes she wears betrays her origin to be Caribbean in nature. Possibly from the early days of North American exploration. Her accent sounds vaguely CUBAN. LULU You’re telling me that Ash wanted you to come to Miami and bring me to New York? LIZZY That’s the best I can come up with. LULU What for? LIZZY She’s pregnant. Needs you as a midwife. Lulu gives her a surprised look. LULU REALLY? LIZZY Why so surprised? LULU I’ve never known Ash to even consider having another child. After… She stops, not wanting to remember Ash’s stories about sacrificing her daughter. LULU Who’s the father? LIZZY Ezekiel Stone. The one sent to return us to Hell. This draws an even MORE serious reaction from Lulu. However, this time she remains silent. LULU Do you know where she is? Lizzy shakes her head NO. LIZZY It’s like she’s dropped off the face of the earth. LULU (beat) Why would she do something so desperate as to send out a… She can’t find the right word. LIZZY …Distress signal…? LULU Yeah. LIZZY She’s having trouble with the baby. Pandora told me she was growing weaker. That she needed protection. LULU You talked to Pandora? Lizzy nods YES. LULU (CONT) I don’t trust her. LIZZY Why not? They stop, study one another intently. LULU Do YOU feel safe knowing that there’s somebody that can track your every move? Know where you are at all times? LIZZY I guess I never thought about it. LULU (scoffs) You should. (exhales) Let’s go back to my place. I’ll need to pack up a couple of things. INT. HOTEL SENATOR - LULU’S ROOM - NIGHT The door opens and a CRACK OF LIGHT streams in from the hallway. It dimly bathes the room with it’s weak wattage. CLICK. Lulu turns on the ceiling light. The two Damned Souls enter her room. Immediately, Lizzy is taken aback by what she sees. TRIBAL MASKS HUNG ON WALLS. CRYPTIC SCRIBBLINGS ADORNING THE WALLS. LARGE CANDLES ON AN ALTAR. And any other type of ritualistic knick knacks you might happen to imagine. Lulu notices Lizzy’s reaction. LULU Not what you were expecting… Lizzy remembers Pandora’s warning about spirits surrounding Lulu. LIZZY No shit. What is all this? You some kind of voodoo priestess? LULU Santeria. LIZZY (as if it made a difference) …Oh…right…Santeria. She points to the biggest mask which is near the altar. LIZZY Who’s that? LULU Chango. My god. Lulu starts to rummage through her belongs, deciding what she needs to take on her voyage to New York. LIZZY Hold on. Time out. What IS this? Why would Ash need -- Chango -- or whatever Santeria is… LULU (darkly) You may not respect me, but you WILL respect my god… Her threat hangs in the air for a beat. Lizzy regards it, then decides to ease off. Again, the warning from Pandora rings in her ears. Better to let it ride. LIZZY Sure. No problem. Lulu has opened a DRAWER, takes out what appears to be POTIONS of some kind. She holds them to the light, inspecting them in detail. Lizzy has seen enough. LIZZY I’m gonna go grab some air, okay? You need me, I’ll be out front. LULU I think that would be best. Clearly, you don’t mess with Lulu OR her religion! INT. APARTMENT BUILDING - HALLWAY - NIGHT Stone has back tracked to Pandora’s place. He’s outside her door, pounding it. He’s stunned when it opens right away. No muss, no fuss. He’s even more surprised to see that nobody is in the doorway. It’s as if the door were alive and opened on its own. Hesitantly, he enters… PANDORA’S APARTMENT Dim candle light greets Stone, along with the stale fog of incense. He can’t make out his immediate surroundings at first. PANDORA’S VOICE (OS) Sit down, Mr. Stone. Stone WHIPS AROUND in the direction the voice came from. SHE’S RIGHT BESIDE OF HIM! STONE …Shit… His initial shock over, Stone takes a good look at her face. STONE Are you Pandora? The one who… PANDORA (cutting him off) …Knows all about all…Even YOU, Mr. Stone. She gestures to the table to her left. PANDORA Sit down. JUMP CUT: Pandora and Stone are seated opposite each other at the table. Stone is leaning over the top, trying to figure out just what the hell to do with her. Pandora is re-arranging the fragments on the table, in what appears to be a random fashion. At least to Stone. PANDORA You don’t know what you should do with me, do you? Stone’s eye brows rise. PANDORA (CONT) I’m one of the Damned that you’ve been sent to return to Hell. It’s your mission to destroy my eyes. It would take very little effort to shoot them with your weapon. I am defenseless. Yet, you wonder if I’m worth more to you ‘alive.’ For the time being, anyway. He takes out his gun, puts it on the table. Keeps his hand on it the whole time he speaks. STONE Convince me. One way or the other. PANDORA Even though you are not one of the 113, you and I still share a bond. I am connected to ALL of the Damned Souls that walk the earth. It was I who sent you that vision. I did it to lure you here. STONE Why? PANDORA To tell you that Ash is in trouble. STONE Why should that concern me? PANDORA Ash is pregnant. (a beat) With YOUR child. Stone’s face betrays his emotions. PANDORA (CONT) But she is having a difficult time with the baby. (closes her eyes) She’s in pain -- her mind distressed. The body weakening. She’s sent one of our sisters on a task. STONE What kind of task? PANDORA (eyes still closed) A trusted friend is being brought to New York. To save her. Protect her. Protect THEM. STONE Who is bringing this -- “friend” here? Lizzy? Pandora opens her eyes and smiles. PANDORA There’s hope for you yet, Mr. Stone. STONE More like my ability to put two and two together. He picks up a bone. STONE (CONT) What’re they supposed to be? PANDORA The Damned that escaped. STONE And you know each of them? Who they are, and where they’re at? She nods YES. Stone can hardly believe it. He throws the bone back onto the table PANDORA I’m the only one among us with this power. You may destroy my eyes, but you will also destroy the knowledge within. A difficult choice. Stone flexes his fingers around the handle, then tightens his grip. He stands up, holds the weapon at his side. STONE No, it isn’t. He holsters the gun. STONE (CONT) I know where to find you. And you know where to find the them. My odds are twice as good now as when I came in here. I’d say it was time to hold and see what the dealer’s got. Stone backs up slowly. The door somehow opens again as he nears it -- as if it were alive. STONE Neat trick. You’ll have to show me how you do that next time we have a pow wow. He exits. The door closes after him -- spooky as can be. Pandora takes the mahogany box from the floor, places it on the table. She begins to put the fragments back inside. FADE ACT THREE EXT. MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - PASSENGER DROP OFF - DAY It’s early in the afternoon. A familiar Yellow Cab pulls up to the curb. Richmond jumps out of the front, makes his way to the back. The two passenger doors open, and Lizzy and Lulu exit. Richmond opens the trunk, but before he can pull Lulu’s bag out, she grabs it and sets it on the ground. Lizzy, of course, is still traveling light. RICHMOND Glad to see that you found your friend, ma’am. He closes the trunk, regards Lulu for a moment. It sure looks like the two women have nothing in common. LIZZY Yeah, lucky for me, wasn’t it. She hands Richmond the fare. He smiles, a broad mouth full of white teeth. RICHMOND Thank you ma’am. You call me any time you come back to Miami. LIZZY (under her breath) Which I hope is none too soon… Richmond gets into his cab, waves good-bye, and drives off. A SKY CAP comes to them, tries to pick up Lulu’s one bag. She quickly pushes him aside as he reaches for it. He stumbles back with a surprised look on his face. LIZZY She can manage it, bud. The two uneasy allies make their way into the airport. It’s gonna be a long flight. INT. MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - LOUNGE AREA - DAY Lizzy is on a PAYPHONE, trying to reach Xiao. We HEAR the line ringing on the other end, but it seems as if no one is going to pick up. Then, a distant voice answers. TYRONE (ON PHONE) …Yeah… LIZZY Tyrone? Is that you? INT. NORTH’S HANGOUT - DAY Tyrone is on the other end of the line. He’s edgy, because Xiao hasn’t returned yet. TYRONE Where are you at? INTERCUT LIZZY Miami. We’re getting ready to leave in a few minutes. Where’s Xiao? TYRONE North came by last night. Pitched a bitch at her for letting you leave without his permission. He sent her out to find you. LIZZY Where did she go? TYRONE I think she went to find Pandora. See if she could give her a clue about where you were. LIZZY Shit. Where’s North now? TYRONE He went out. Someplace in Jersey. Won’t be back until late tonight. Lizzy exhales. LIZZY I’m sorry I got you in so deep. (a beat) Listen, can you meet us at Kennedy? We’ll be in around 7:30 PM TYRONE Yeah, I think so. LIZZY Just stay put until then. Don’t go near Pandora or anyone else. Lulu walks up to Lizzy, shows her their TWO TICKETS. LIZZY Okay. I gotta go. Flight #318. Don’t forget. She hangs up. Taking one of the tickets from Lulu’s hand, she shoves it into her pocket, heads for the boarding terminal. LIZZY Let’s go. INT. PANDORA’S APARTMENT - DAY Seated on the floor, encircled by a line of candles, Pandora appears to be in a trance- like state. There are THREE BONE FRAGMENTS in front of her. She’s not moving a hair’s breath, so intent is her concentration. Finally, she OPENS HER EYES. At this action, we move into a… C.U. ON PANDORA’S EYES They are wide; almost a panicked look about them. EXTREME C.U. ON PANDORA’S EYES We MOVE IN SO TIGHT, until there is a WHITE FLASH. This is… PANDORA’S INNER VISION Similar to Stone’s Damned Soul Vision, Pandora seems to have the ability to “see within and without”. This is how she also sent Stone the vision previously. We SEE a clear glimpse of Lulu and Lizzy. They are assisting Ash with the delivery of her baby. Ash is in incredible pain. Lulu leans over Ash, whispering something into her ear. Ash shakes her head NO. Lulu says it again. Ash shakes her head more violently this time, an emphatic NO. Lulu frowns, walks away from Ash. Lizzy turns as well. In desperation, Ash throws her head back and nods YES -- very weakly, though. Lulu and Lizzy both smile, return to Ash’s side, and continue to help her with the delivery. The vision changes. Stone, Lulu and Lizzy are gathered together. However, Stone doesn’t seem to be taking any action towards them. It appears that some sort of pact is being exchanged. All three nod YES. Then, Lulu and Lizzy say something to Stone, which seems to satisfy him. They depart. The vision changes again. This time, Stone is alone, holding his gun. He fires it at an unseen target. BLUE ELECTRICITY CRACKLES, flowing around his body. Clearly, he’s discharged another pair of eyes. WHITE FLASH We are back to Pandora, still seated on the floor. Her eyes full of fear. PANDORA You must not do this… INT. ABOARD FLIGHT #318 - DAY Lulu and Lizzy are seated together, on the mostly empty plane. A lucky break for them, since their subject matter would surely disturb any fellow passenger. LULU Do you ever think of what it feels like? LIZZY What WHAT feels like? LULU When your eyes are destroyed. LIZZY No. LULU Have you seen it happen? Lizzy can’t speak. She only nods YES. LULU Do you regret being bound to Ash? LIZZY What were the options? Stay in Hell? Better the devil you know… Lulu looks out the window, appears to be preparing to say something important. LULU What would you say if I told you we could gain our freedom from the contract with Ash? LIZZY I’d say it was impossible. Lulu laughs, turns back to face Lizzy full on. LULU After all the things you’ve witnessed since the escape-- our return to the mortal world -- and you’d STILL say it was impossible? This piques Lizzy’s curiosity. Maybe it’s not so far fetched after all. LIZZY Okay. We’ve got a couple of hours on our hands. Tell me; how can we do it? The expression on Lulu’s face changes. LULU I’m not sure -- exactly. Lizzy scoffs. LULU (CONT) But there is a way. There HAS to be a way. LIZZY …And the dish ran away with the spoon, and the cow jumped over moon… Lulu doesn’t get the reference to the child’s nursery rhyme. LIZZY (explaining) It’s a fantasy. A fairy tale. Just like what you’re saying. LULU Think about it. Every one of us has a power. It only stands to reason that we have a WEAKNESS as well. We FIND that weakness in Ash, figure a way to exploit it. Catch her at the right time, give her no choice but to free us. LIZZY Yeah. Now, YOU think about THIS. IF that were the case, how come none of us have tried it before? LULU Who says we haven’t? Lizzy thinks on this statement. LULU (CONT) Maybe a few of us HAVE. But Ash is too strong. Or WAS too strong. Now, she’s in trouble. The wheels are turning in Lizzy’s head. She’s getting the drift clearly. LULU (CONT) Maybe she’s vulnerable for the first time since the escape. Lulu can tell that Lizzy is beginning to believe. LULU (CONT) This chance won’t happen again. Another thought comes to Lizzy’s mind. LIZZY I thought Ash trusted you. Weren’t you one of her closest companions? LULU I thought I was, too. But Ash has betrayed us all. Having a child from the one sent to destroy us does not set well with me. One does not consort with the enemy. LIZZY I don’t know. I mean, I’ve met Stone. He’s really not… LULU If you are not FOR US, then you are AGAINST US. Banding together is the only way to protect ourselves. From Stone. (a beat) From Ash. Lizzy is not sure what to make of all this. Maybe Lulu’s right. But maybe she’s wrong, too. FADE ACT FOUR EXT. KENNEDY AIRPORT - ESTABLISHING - NIGHT INT. PASSENGER TERMINAL - NIGHT Lizzy and Lulu are walking amid the throng of PEOPLE. As usual, Kennedy is packed to capacity. Lulu clutches her bag tightly. She didn’t even check it; she had it with her in the overhead the entire flight. Searching for Tyrone, Lizzy finally spots him further down the… WALKWAY Tyrone greets Lizzy, who in turn introduces Lulu. Lulu holds onto her bag, gives him a good looking over. LIZZY Tyrone, this is Lulu. The one Ash wanted me to bring back. TYRONE Hey. LULU (very cool) Hello. LIZZY Has Kineta come back yet? Tyrone shakes his head NO. Lizzy’s brow furrows. This isn’t good. They both turn to Lulu, who returns their stare. Obviously Lulu doesn’t seem concerned with their missing partner. TYRONE What do you think we should do? LIZZY Let’s talk to Pandora. Maybe she can tell us what’s going on. EXT. CITY STREET - NIGHT We are MOVING with the FLOW OF TRAFFIC as it circulates through New York. We CLOSE IN on a CAB. As we get NEARER, we can SEE that Lizzy, Lulu and Tyrone are riding in the rear. DRIVER You sure you wanna hit 125th Street this time o’ night? LIZZY Just drive, buddy. INT. SUBWAY STATION - NIGHT Stone is ready to call it a night. He’s standing among the few SUBWAY TRAVELERS who are waiting to get home. The TRAIN finally reaches their station, slows to a halt. The doors open, and Stone starts to set foot inside. WHITE FLASH Pandora is channeling another vision to Stone. Clear as a bell, Stone can SEE Lizzy, Tyrone, and an unknown person (Lulu) standing in front of Pandora’s apartment door. WHITE FLASH Stone is back on the platform. The train doors start to close. Stone backs away. The train rumbles up to speed and pulls off down the tunnel. With a burning in his gut, Stone turns around and heads back to street level. Whatever it was he saw, he realizes that he needs to get back to Pandora’s apartment right away. INT. APARTMENT BUILDING - NIGHT Outside #122 are Lizzy, Lulu and Tyrone. Lizzy knocks. No answer from within. Lizzy knocks again. Lulu gets a weird expression on her face. As if she senses there is something not right on the other side. Not waiting for a third knock, Lulu simply opens the door. PANDORA’S APARTMENT Cautiously, they step inside. It’s dark. The fog of incense not as thick as before. Tyrone closes the door behind them. LIZZY Pandora? There’s no reply. LIZZY Pandora -- you here? Lulu puts her bag down, goes into a side room. Lizzy and Tyrone also begin to search the joint. Looks like there’s nobody home. Lulu comes back from the side room. LULU Is this Pandora’s home? Lizzy nods YES. LULU Well, you can consider her gone. The whole place is deserted. She took what she needed with her. Left the rest. TYRONE Why would she do that? LULU Her power is considerable. Yet she is afraid of Ash. She doesn’t want to come into play with what we are going to do, so she has left to avoid a confrontation. LIZZY (in disbelief) You mean she KNOWS what we were planning? Talking about on the flight back here? LULU (grim) Yes. She can see all, even that we are here now. Lizzy realizes that Pandora has suddenly become a liability to them and their plans. LIZZY She could warn Ash… TYRONE What are you two talking about? EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING - NIGHT Stone is right outside, barreling up the steps. INT. PANDORA’S APARTMENT - NIGHT LIZZY We’re going to try and… LULU (cutting her off) Now is not the time. We need to leave… Lulu stops in mid sentence. It’s like she can detect a sound or scent that is out of place. LULU He’s coming… LIZZY Who? TYRONE Stone? Lulu nods YES. TYRONE I’m gonna kick that Hell Cop’s ass but good… The statement draws a look from Lulu. But before she can reply… AT THE DOOR BAM!! Stone has kicked it in! He’s got his weapon drawn. All business. He steps into the apartment. STONE NOBODY MOVES! Before Stone realizes it, Tyrone CHARGES RIGHT AT HIM! BLAM!! BLAM!! BLAM!! Stone squeezes off three fast shots, but Tyrone is moving so quickly, they miss their mark. WOOSH!! Tyrone THROWS A POWERFUL ROUNDHOUSE PUNCH, connecting square with Stone’s jaw. He goes down to the floor. Tyrone flops on top of him, the assault intense. Lizzy and Lulu watch silently, absorbed by the fight taking place. Tyrone pummels Stone. A punch to the gut. An elbow to the temple. Stone still has a grip on his gun, and is trying to hit Tyrone with the butt of the handle. His guard is good. The blows deflected. It’s all Stone can to do protect his eyes. Lulu walks a few steps towards the combatants, mumbles something we can’t discern. POW!! POW!! Tyrone connects with a left/right combination. It clocks Stone good. He’s stunned. His hands drop; eyes now exposed. Lulu extends her left hand out in their direction. The jumbled words become a CHANT. Seeing that he’s got a clear lane to Stone’s eyes, Tyrone leans back, as if to savor the kill. He POINTS TWO FINGERS INTO A “V” SHAPE, holds them over Stone’s face. Lulu INCREASES her chant, holds BOTH HANDS OUT now. Lizzy is too shocked to move. As Tyrone’s fingers are about to pierce Stone’s eyes, he can’t help but throw in one last barb at him. TYRONE This is for Caprice. He PLUNGES HER FINGERS DOWN. No way he can miss. A FRACTION OF AN INCH before they make contact, his fingers SUDDENLY STOP! He can’t figure out why they won’t move. Angry, he turns to face Lulu. Tyrone can SEE that Lulu is stopping him from destroying Stone’s eyes. TYRONE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! LET ME KILL HIM! LULU (deathly silent) …No… Lulu chants again, closes her eyes. Now, Tyrone has NO CONTROL OVER HIS MOVEMENTS. Lulu is clearly manipulating his physical actions. Unable to stop it, Tyrone rises from the floor. His motions jerky, almost mechanical. Once he reaches a standing position, he is immobile. Hands at his side. The image suggests he is in a firing squad line. Recovering from Tyrone’s onslaught, Stone scrambles to his feet. Gun still in hand. He SEES that Tyrone is right there in front of him, not moving an inch. A fish in a barrel. TYRONE NO!! LET ME GO!! I HAVE TO KILL HIM!! Stone brings his weapon up, leveled at Tyrone’s eyes. Fires. BLAM!! BLAM!! Two shots dead on target. Tyrone’s eyes explode, his LIFE FORCE energy seeping out uncontrollably. It CRACKLES AROUND THE ROOM, enveloping each of the Damned Souls in a BLUE ELECTRICAL STORM. As his soul is being returned, Tyrone screams out in pain. TYRONE (fading) WHY DIDN’T YOU LET ME KILL HIM?! And then, he is gone. His TATTOO begins to burn off Stone’s chest. It hurts like hell. He bends over, clutches his body. For the moment, he’s not concerned with the two other Damned Souls in front of him. Seizing the opportunity, Lulu once more raises her hands and begins to chant. Her actions aimed at Stone this time. The double whammy of the runic tattoo and Lulu’s incantation is too much for Stone to take. He passes out in a heap. After she is sure he’s down for good, Lulu relaxes her arms, lowers them to her side. Lizzy finally finds her voice. LIZZY What have you done? LULU (drained) I have placed him into a zombie state for now. LIZZY I don’t mean HIM! I mean TYRONE! Lulu turns to face Lizzy. LULU (matter of fact) He was going to destroy Stone’s eyes. LIZZY I KNOW THAT! LULU We NEED him. He is linked to Ash. The father of her unborn child. (a beat) He could be the weakness we seek. The bargaining tool that breaks Ash’s grip on us. LIZZY Why did you let Stone kill him? Where’s that US against THEM bullshit you said to me before?! LULU He was a risk, a variable to the plans we are making. Better to eliminate him then suffer the damage he could cause. LIZZY How do you know that?! You just MET him! Lulu gets right up into Lizzy’s face. LULU Because I KNOW. HELL FIRE GLOWS in Lulu’s deep brown eyes. Intimidating. Lizzy once more remembers the warning Pandora gave her about Lulu. A beat passes, then Lizzy backs off. Maybe hooking up with Lulu wasn’t such a good idea after all. LULU We must find Pandora, before she has a chance to warn Ash. LIZZY You’ve got the all the cards this time. But when the tables are turned, we’re gonna have this conversation again. Lulu gets her bag, heads for the door. Biting her lip, Lizzy follows. STONE ON THE FLOOR He’s out solid. Gun just beyond his hand. Looks like he was hit by a truck. DISSOLVE TO: INT. STONE’S APARTMENT - NIGHT The place is dim. Only a light from the kitchen illuminates the joint. Sprawled out on the couch is Stone. Still looking like crap. We HOLD on him for a beat. Then, he starts to move. Slowly, he rises to a sitting position. That’s as far as he can go. He hangs his head down, holds it with both hands. WHITE FLASH The Devil appears. He’s pretty pissed off at Stone. DEVIL You’re THIS FAR from unemployment, Mr. Stone. Stone leans his head back, squints his eyes open, then quickly closes them again. This is not who he wanted to see. The Devil crosses to the couch, sits beside Stone. DEVIL I’m really getting tired of saving your bacon. STONE Don’t mention food, okay? DEVIL Then how ‘bout this? You had FIVE of my wayward children in your sights. THREE got away. Care to explain? Stone gets up from the couch, heads for the kitchen STONE How’d I get back here? DEVIL Answer my question! STONE (pissed) I got TWO. The rest… He can’t finish the statement. DEVIL …The rest got the best of you. I’m ready to send somebody as your replacement, Mr. Stone. Stone scoffs. DEVIL (CONT) I’m serious. You’re getting to be a liability. There’s something going on that you’re not telling me. Involving Ash. That’s what this whole mess was about. She’s planning something. I can tell. All these little ants scurrying around every time she snaps her fingers. Whatever it is, it won’t work. You can BANK on that! Stone returns from the kitchen holding a glass of orange juice in his hand. STONE How did I get back here? Stone’s casual attitude infuriates The Devil. He gets up from the couch and walks towards Stone. DEVIL If you’re in the middle of this, you better get OUT. You think for one minute you can serve two masters, think again. STONE (a smug grin) YOU brought me back, didn’t you? I’m touched. Really. DEVIL This game is over! WHITE FLASH The Devil is gone. Stone takes a gulp of his orange juice. Despite dancing around the issue, Stone is pretty sure The Devil is not bluffing this time. He may or may not know Ash is pregnant with his child, but that’s a risk he can’t afford to take right now. He throws the glass back, drains it dry. INT. SUBWAY TRAIN - NIGHT Seated by herself is Pandora. She’s clutching her mahogany box tightly. Fear spread across her face. In her mind, she can HEAR a JUMBLE OF VOICES. LULU’S VOICE What would you say if I told you we could gain our freedom from the contract with Ash? LIZZY’S VOICE I’d say it was impossible. TYRONE’S VOICE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! LET ME KILL HIM! LIZZY’S VOICE What have you done? LULU’S VOICE We NEED him. He is linked to Ash. LIZZY’S VOICE He was one of US! LULU’S VOICE He was a risk. We must find Pandora, before she has a chance to warn Ash. Pandora shuts her eyes tight, as if trying to block out the voices. Suddenly, ANOTHER VOICE overrides the rest of them. ASH’S VOICE Pandora. Where are they, Pandora? I need them to help me. A single tear flows down Pandora’s cheek. We PULL back slowly, until Pandora is a small dot on the screen. EXT. SUBWAY TUNNEL - NIGHT The train Pandora is on SHOOTS THROUGH the tunnel. After it passes us, we HOLD on the empty tunnel. ASH’S VOICE Send them to me, Pandora. Send them now. FADE THE END
