|Michael Barnsby (1880 - 1924)|
Serving as a longshoreman, Barnsby’s first post as a sailor was aboard the General Slocum. After she sank, Barnsby decide he still enjoyed life on the open seas, and joined the U.S. Navy. He served in WWI as a Naval Intelligence Officer. He continued to serve with the Intelligence community fter the war was over. He disappeared in Italy while on a covert assignment. His body eventually washed ashore on the Sicilian coast, ridden with bullet holes.
