Marietta was only 18 when she boarded the General Slocum on that fateful day. A naive and simple girl, unwise to the ways of evil. She was married to an unfaithful husband named Leopold. He was the father of their son Judas Booth. She lived 55 long years of agony after the bargain she struck with The Devil, giving her son's soul to The Devil in exchange for her life. She regretted it every day that followed, but never showed her son anything but unconditional love and motherly affection. Marietta died of natural causes.
