|Luskus Delph (1821-1869)|
Delph was a 3rd generation American, whose family came from Germany. He lived in Alexandria, VA. His family was very influential in their county. He was a devout Christian and a wealthy plantation owner, his main crop being tobacco.
However, Man's law at that time in history allowed slaves to be owned as property. Delph whipped a male slave to death for breaking one of his rules.
Delph was killed by street bandits in New York City after returning from a business trip to London and was damned to Hell.
